Yes they are douche-y but they are sort of right. Wall Street is absolutely vicious. Its filled with ambitious Ivy grads and downright competitive assholes. Because they have a natural drive to work harder and have the natural talent to survive out there they will undoubtedly leave a wake of pain to anyone who doesn't feel like following suit. That said the whole "our money was your money" thing simply isn't that accurate.

Douche-y? Maybe. But it makes a valid point. In truth, the crash was entirely the fault of government. You have government telling businesses that they will suffer no consequences if they make bad loans, that the government will back it all up. You have government bailing out any corporations that make bad decisions. The free market, left to its own devices, discourages such behavior because companies are going to suffer the consequences of their actions. Take the consequences away, and people will take advantage of it - and who wouldn't?

It is meddling, not freewheeling, on Wall Street that caused the problems. When minimal meddling occurs, Wall Street is the heart of the strongest economy and the greatest national concentration of wealth the world has ever known.
